ファースト・アルバム『ファンタスティック』を初めて聴いた感じでは、まさかここまで売れるとは思えず、見事に期待を裏切られたデュオグループですね(笑。この頃、英国では、アイドルじみた安っぽい音楽が盛んに流行っていましたし、初めて聴いた曲は、『ラブ・マシーン』というカヴァーだったので、尚更です。
しかし、『ケアレス・ウィスパー』を聴いた時、なかなか良い曲を書くじゃんと。極めつけは、ジョージ・マイケルがソロになったときに放ったアルバム『Faith』、これは名盤だと思います。
